The unofficial results are in for the Mansfield ISD school board election, which took place on May 5. Three seats were up for re-election.
Michelle Newsom was uncontested for the Place 1 seat. Desiree Thomas took the majority of the votes for the Place 2 seat with 69 percent, and Randall Canedy won the race for the Place 3 seat with 60 percent of the votes.
Results are not official until votes are canvassed. The canvassing of votes will occur on May 15 at a called board meeting.
