SHS Announcments Week of January 8

Mandatory Cheer Meetings - There will be a mandatory parent meeting for anyone wanting to tryout for Summit cheer or mascot on Thursday January 9 or Tuesday January 14 at 6:30 at the Performing Arts Center. There are some changes to the tryout process this year, so do not miss out on the information. A parent needs to attend one of these 2 meetings.

Library News - The library is closed during the day Wednesday and Thursday. Students who need to change a password, get an ID, or return a book can still do so. Those students who need to use a computer, print, visit during lunch or check out a book can do that starting on Friday.

Band Accolades - Before the break, students from the Summit Band competed at the Region 5 Band auditions. They had 60 students make the All-Region Band and 11 students make the All-Region Orchestra. Of those 60 students, 25 will compete at the Area B auditions this Saturday to earn a chance of becoming an All-State musician. Congratulations to all these band students, and best of luck to those auditioning this weekend.

Yearbooks on sale - Yearbook are still just 65 dollars and can be purchased by visiting yearbookforever.com. Hurry! Order by January 15 to avoid a price increase. If you have questions or need to pay using cash, please see Ms. Best in J9 for details.

Yoga Club - Wednesday is yoga day! See you in I-2 at 3:00!

TCC Textbooks - All TCC students from 1st semester please turn your TCC books into Mrs. Dean in the K hall office. They are due by this Friday January 10th.

Track Practice - Attention all students who signed up for track, the first track practice starts next Monday Jan 13 at 3:20. Everyone will need to have all online paper work completed and a have a physical.

Powerlifting Team- The Summit Powerlifting team is having a practice meet this Friday after school. You will need to be in the weight room by 3:15. It is mandatory that you be there if you plan on participating in powerlifting.
